Gripped by Fear

Scripture: Psalm 46:3
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.

We’re so grateful for your outpouring of generosity and your prayers in the wake of so many natural disasters worldwide.

Thanks to friends like you, hurting people are finding hope and healing as you help meet their physical and spiritual needs.

But those needs are still great.

Hurricane Irma left a path of destruction in Cuba and Puerto Rico before causing significant damage in Florida. Hurricane Harvey's record-breaking floodwaters have yet to recede in areas of Southeast Texas.

And just yesterday, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Central Mexico. We have more than 25 missionaries, a seminary and dozens of churches in the areas impacted by yesterday's earthquake, which has killed more than 225 people.

Although we don't yet know the full extent of the damage, you'll be hearing more from us soon on how you can show God's love and hope to those devastated by these natural disasters.

While we can't meet their physical needs today, you can help meet the spiritual needs of all those affected.

So today, would you please pray for:

  • Those who have lost their belongings, their homes, and their security – and especially any who have lost loved ones – that they would be comforted physically and spiritually
  • Camino Global’s partners and missionaries, that God would protect them and that they would show Christ’s love to their communities
  • Those who are hopeless, that they would be given the hope of the gospel
