Camino360: From Latin America to the World

For more than a century, Camino missionaries have worked in Spanish-speaking countries. So why are places like India, Turkey, Mauritania and The Philippines on the radar?

For the past decade, a movement of globally-focused Latin missionaries has been gathering momentum. The vision of Camino360 is to aggressively accelerate this movement in collaboration with sister organizations such as FAM International, Cooperation MAYA, and other partners.

What is Camino360?

Today more than 10,000 missionaries from Latin America serve in cultures other than their own, seeking the unreached in over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Afica, as well as North, Central and South America. Camino360 is a strategic move to strengthen and support this trend through four main efforts:

  1. Equip Latin missionaries for effective cross-cultural ministry.
  2. Empower Latin missionaries with entrepreneurial skills and tools to develop self-sustaining ministries.
  3. Encourage Latin missionaries with coaching, mentoring, nurturing, and member care.
  4. Enhance the Latin missions movement by facilitating partnerships between existing mission entities.

Why do it?

Despite the enormous potential for Latin-American missionaries, several issues hinder the effectiveness of this movement. Insufficient funding, inadequate training, limited member care, and deficient organizational support structures often handicap our brothers and sisters from thriving on the field. Missionary attrition rates need to be lowered. And there are thousands more who want to go. We believe that Camino Global is uniquely equipped to help overcome these obstacles.
