The Sages served in Honduras with open-air evangelism and church planting, 1967-1982. Then in Dallas where they founded three Hispanic churches. One meets in the Scofield Memorial Church and another in the Plano Bible Chapel. Beginning in 2012, they started working with ObreroFiel in the online ministry and with Global Media Outreach.

John Sage was born in Charleston, SC to George and Eugenia Sage on December 15, 1939. They worked as home missionaries with film evangelism in the USA. They lived in a mobile home and travelled the eastern USA. He received Christ as his savior at the age of 9. John attended Toccoa Falls High School and the Moody Bible Institute. He met his wife, Barbara Kinser, during a summer mission trip to Mexico. They were married September 8, 1962. They were appointed as missionaries in 1964 and attended language School in Costa Rica in 1967. They spent 14 years working in Central America, mainly Honduras.

Barbara was born on February 25, 1940 to H.B. and Dorotha Kinser in Dixie,WV. She received Christ as her savior at the age of 13. After graduation from the Gauley Bridge High School she attended the Appalachian Bible College in Bradley, WV where she graduated in 1961. The following year she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
