Mentoring Latin missionaries to reach the world
The Parkers have served with Camino Global since 1988, living in various Latin American countries serving in diverse capacities: music, developing the Awana ministry in Central America; and most recently developing a campground in Montevideo, Uruguay. They have three married children and six grandchildren, all presently located in Texas and Maryland. In February of 2016, they relocated to the U.S.A., having been invited by Camino's Vice President of Global Ministries to help develop the mentoring ministry- as part of the process leading to candidate school. This will help better prepare Spanish speakers to face the challenges of cross-cultual ministry in this generation. Working out of their home base in Longview, Texas via the internet, as they mentor, they will be recruiting other missionaries with at least ten years on the field to come alongside these new candidates in their journey, providing encouragement and prayer support.
