Training Hispanic Leaders
Dean & Linda met at Explo '72 in Dallas, Texas. Linda was from Michigan, and Dean came from Alabama. They were married later that year and settled in Dean's hometown in Alabama. Prior to becoming full time missionaries, God was preparing Dean & Linda for cross-cultural ministry.
Traveling overseas with mission work teams opened their eyes to the spiritual need in other parts of the world. In 1985 they and their three young children moved to Bolivia where they served for 10 years in the lowlands, and 10 years in the Andes Mountains. When they came home in 2003, they realized God had allowed the mission field to come to Dean's home state. Camino Global asked them to work with the growing number of Hispanics in the Birmingham area. They have implemented mobile Bible institutes in many of the Spanish speaking congregations, and challenged them to also be involved in world missions.
Dean & Linda have 3 married children and 4 grandchildren.
