Fran was born and raised in Florida. Judy was born in Guatemala to a missionary family. After high school, Judy graduated from Moody Bible Institute and moved to Dallas. Fran graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga and then from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Fran and Judy met in Dallas and were married. After a time pastoring in Missouri they were accepted by Camino Global and began their ministry in Central America. They have two young adult children, Cristy and Jonathan.
