Gary teaches Old Testament and edits the Kairós journal at SETECA. Esperanza evangelizes and disciples through Club 3:16 and weekly Bible studies.

Evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training in Guatemala

Gary and his wife Pauline went to Mexico as Camino Global missionaries in 1973 and then moved to Guatemala City in 1977. Since 1974 Gary's primary ministry has been training believers for ministry, for the past 40 years at the Central American Theological Seminary (SETECA), where he teaches Old Testament and edits the theological journal Kairós. Six months after their 40th anniversary, Pauline died of cancer. Gary and Esperanza married in October 2010.

Esperanza moved from her native Colombia to Guatemala in 2005 to study at the Guatemalan Bible Seminary and then at SETECA. She joined Camino Global in 2011. Her ministry has focused on evangelizing and discipleship. Currently, she teaches six weekly Bible studies and leads Club 3:16, a ministry she founded in 2013 to serve the poor in El Encinal, our large neighborhood.
