Dan and Sue have served with Camino Global since 1984, first in Mexico City as church planters and later as Mexico Field Director. In 2000, Dan succeeded Ron Blue and served 11 years as the mission's 8th president. Sensing the Lord's direction the Wichers plan to equip leaders and mobilize Latin missionaries from a new ministry base in southern Spain. They are targetting a January 2013 move.

Equipping Leaders for Global Impact

The Wichers served sixteen years in Mexico City church planting and equipping leaders under CAM International, the last eight as Mexico Field Director.  In 2000, the mission’s board appointed Dan as the mission’s 8th President, succeeding Ron Blue in the position.  During this period Dan earned a Doctorate in Leadership and Organizational Development from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Dan is a proven, hands-on leader who possesses a unique combination of analytical, inter-personal, cross-cultural and organizational development skills.  He is passionate about enabling others to apply God’s redemptive power to life thereby cultivating personal and professional development.

Last December, Dan stepped down as CEO of Camino Global to pursue the equipping of leaders in Spain. The Wichers are active members of Lake Ridge Bible Church in Mesquite, TX and will soon celebrate 39 years of marriage. Their son Peter and his wife Elizabeth study and work in Tyler, TX.
